Online Game Review - Adventure Quest

I've played this game on and off over the past few years. At its heart Adventure Quest is a simple 2d RPG with fun animated graphics and some good sound effects. The game can be played for free and, for someone like me, it offers enough to keep going back occasionally. You can also buy more stuff and, for a reasonable one-off fee, become a "Guardian" which gives you access to lots of extra features and game areas - probably well worth it if you get into the game enough to play it regularly.

Set in the mythical land of Battleonia, Adventure Quest features loads of small or larger quests for the single player, and there are often quests that require many users to go on a mass rampage (or, sometimes, a more constructive joint effort!) You can have a pet help you out in battles... for some reason I'd acquired a platypus, as you can see from the screenshot - not a particularly battle-worthy animal, but never mind. There are loads of weird and wonderful characters scattered throughout the game, and the whole thing has a wonderful sense of surreality to it.

The best thing about Adventure Quest though is that it's constantly being updated - barely a day goes by without some noteworthy addition to the game world. There's an active community for those who want to socialise more, and for those of us who don't want to actually spend our hard-earned cash, you have the option of viewing adverts and getting in-game rewards (I think it's a great idea that you can do this but you're not forced to do it). Overall Adventure Quest is a fun RPG, I admit that I don't play it regularly but there's something about it that keeps me coming back every so often.

Adventure Quest, I wasn't aware of it yet, I have only known of Jewel Quest that I have seen from Download Games website. I think this is one game that I need to see and play.
